Twelve years in civil engineering and construction management sit behind every Behfar Building project. Behrooz brings both the technical side and the on-site side — he specialises in residential and commercial renovation across the Greater Toronto Area, and oversees each project from planning and estimating through construction to final delivery.
That end-to-end involvement is deliberate. The person who prices your project is the person who runs it. Nothing gets handed off to someone who wasn’t in the room when the decisions were made.
His focus is straightforward: catch the expensive problems while they are still on paper, put every change in writing, and answer the phone while the job is running.
What a technical background actually changes
Most renovation problems aren’t workmanship problems. They’re planning problems that surface as workmanship problems eight weeks later.
A wall that turns out to be load-bearing. A basement that needs underpinning nobody priced. A permit that takes six weeks longer than anyone said. These aren’t bad luck — they’re the result of nobody thinking carefully enough before the first hammer swung.
Twelve years of engineering and construction management means the hard questions get asked at the estimating stage, when they’re cheap to answer, rather than mid-build when they’re expensive.

Behfar Building manages and coordinates construction projects from start to completion, with qualified professionals handling each specialized scope.
We self-perform general construction and project coordination. Specialized and regulated trades — electrical, plumbing, HVAC, gas and other licensed work — are completed by qualified subcontractors who hold the appropriate licences, certifications, insurance and trade qualifications required for their scope.
We verify our subcontractors’ qualifications and required credentials before they perform regulated work on our projects. Where applicable, work is completed in accordance with Ontario and City of Toronto requirements, including applicable permits, inspections and safety regulations.
You get one point of contact and one company accountable for the result, while the specialized work is done by people who do only that.
