Product selection
Frame material, glazing package and operation chosen for the room and the elevation.
Removal of the old window
Existing units taken out with the interior finishes protected.
Rough opening repair
Rot and damaged framing found behind the old window repaired before the new one goes in.
Flashing and sill pan
The opening flashed so water that gets past the frame is directed back out.
Installation and squaring
Units set plumb, level and square, then fastened so they open and lock properly.
Insulation and air sealing
Perimeter gaps insulated and sealed rather than stuffed and covered.
New openings and headers
Cutting a new opening, with a header sized for the load above.
Interior and exterior trim
Casing, sills, caulking and exterior capping finished to close the job out.
