Takes about 2 minutes
Free in-person consultation and estimate
We come to the property in person, look at the work and give you an estimate at no cost and no obligation.
Step 1 of 7 · Question 1 of 1
A real person responds within 24 hours.
What’s included
This is the work itself, item by item. If your job does not need one of these, it is not on your estimate.
Headroom and structure check
We measure usable height and look at whether the existing joists and rafters can take a living space.
Structural reinforcement
Floor framing strengthened and roof framing altered where required, designed by a qualified professional.
Stair access
A permanent stair built to Code, since a pull-down ladder does not make an attic habitable.
Insulation and ventilation
Roof assembly insulated and the venting path kept clear so the roof does not sweat.
Windows, skylights or dormers
Natural light and the opening sizes the Code requires for a bedroom.
Electrical and heating
Circuits, lighting and alarms by our electrical partner, and heat extended into the space.
Drywall, trim and flooring
Board, tape, paint, baseboard and a finished floor.
Permit and inspections
Attic conversions are permit work; we prepare the application and book the inspections.
How it runs
Every job we take on follows the same sequence, from the first call to the walkthrough.
Tell us about the attic
Peak height, how you get up there now, and what you want it to become.
We call you back
Within 24 hours, to find out early whether the height and structure make it viable.
Site visit and written estimate
We measure height, span and access, and quote the scope in writing.
Drawings, engineering and permit
Structural design and drawings prepared, then the permit filed and tracked.
Structure, stairs and openings
Framing reinforced, the stair built, and dormers or skylights installed and weathertight.
Insulation, rough-in and inspection
Electrical and heating rough-in, insulation, and the inspections that must pass before closing up.
Finishes and final walkthrough
Drywall, paint, flooring and trim, final approval, and the deficiency list closed out.
That is the whole job. Tell us about yours and we will price it — a real person calls you back within 24 hours.
