Ledger flashing
The connection to the house flashed so the rim joist does not rot behind the deck.
Decking installation
Pressure-treated, cedar or composite boards laid with consistent spacing and hidden or set fasteners.
Guards and railings
Guards built to the height and opening limits the Code requires for the deck height.
Stairs and landings
Stringers, treads and handrails built to Code rise and run.
Privacy and screening
Screens, skirting and lattice where the deck is overlooked or raised.
Inspections
Footing and final inspections booked and attended where a permit applies.

I had a clumsily hardscaped back and side yard and deck built with interlock. The interlocks were old and worn out to direct all stormwater towards the foundation of the house rather than away. I was looking for someone to remove all the stuff and install interlock tiles nicely to direct all water away from the foundation. A few guys visited me for the project but they either did not understand the work properly or were not interested to do my work as it required a lot of patience and detailing (especially while removal). Guys at Behfar Building. Construction took time to understand the requirements and did an excellent job.
