What’s included

This is the work itself, item by item. If your job does not need one of these, it is not on your estimate.

  • Layout and drainage plan

    Levels set so the finished patio drains away from the house.

  • Locates and excavation

    Utility locates called, then excavated to the depth the use and the soil require.

  • Base preparation

    Granular base placed and compacted in lifts, which is the part that decides whether it stays flat.

  • Edge restraint

    Edging installed and spiked so the pavers do not spread over time.

  • Bedding and laying

    Bedding course screeded and pavers laid to the chosen pattern.

  • Cutting and detailing

    Borders, curves and openings cut cleanly rather than filled with slivers.

  • Compaction and jointing

    Surface compacted and joints filled with polymeric sand and set.

  • Steps and walls

    Steps, seat walls and pillars built as part of the same install.

  • Clean-up and restoration

    Spoil removed and adjoining lawn and beds reinstated.

How it runs

    Locates completed, area excavated and spoil removed.

  6. Base, laying and jointing

    Base compacted, pavers laid and cut, then compacted and jointed.

  7. Restoration and walkthrough

    Edges reinstated, site cleaned, and the finished surface walked with you.

    Hardscaping

    I had a clumsily hardscaped back and side yard and deck built with interlock. The interlocks were old and worn out to direct all stormwater towards the foundation of the house rather than away. I was looking for someone to remove all the stuff and install interlock tiles nicely to direct all water away from the foundation. A few guys visited me for the project but they either did not understand the work properly or were not interested to do my work as it required a lot of patience and detailing (especially while removal). Guys at Behfar Building. Construction took time to understand the requirements and did an excellent job.

    Wood deck, fence and outdoor stairs

    I had my hot tub removed and needed someone to repair my deck and also repair my 25 years old fence, deck and stairs. They did a great job with a reasonable price. They also repaired some of the small damaged spots that I hadn't noticed at all and they did it with no extra cost for me. I recommend their service for all outdoor wood works.
