This is the work itself, item by item. If your job does not need one of these, it is not on your estimate.

  • Site assessment and drainage

    We look at where water goes first, because planting on a drainage problem wastes money.

  • Layout and planting plan

    Beds, paths, lawn areas and sight lines set out on paper before anything is dug.

  • Planting

    Trees, shrubs and beds planted with species chosen for the exposure and the zone.

  • Edging and mulch

    Bed edges defined and mulched to keep them that way.

  • Hardscape coordination

    Patios, steps and walkways built as part of the same plan rather than bolted on.

  • Walls and lawn as part of the plan

    Retaining walls and new sod are built by the same crew and priced under our retaining walls and sod installation page.

  • Irrigation and lighting coordination

    Lines and low-voltage runs placed while the beds are open, by the trade partners for them.

  • Phasing where it helps

    A plan you own, built in stages, so the whole garden does not have to happen at once.

  • Clean-up and disposal

    Spoil, stumps and debris removed from the property.

How it runs

Every job we take on follows the same sequence, from the first call to the walkthrough.

    Within 24 hours, to understand drainage, sun and use.

  3. Site visit and written estimate

    We walk the property, check grade and soil, and quote the scope in writing.

  4. Plan and selections

    Layout, materials and planting chosen and agreed before work starts.

  5. Locates and site prep

    Utility locates completed, then clearing and bed preparation.

  6. Hardscape and planting

    Hard surfaces and edging built, then beds planted and mulched.

  7. Walkthrough and care notes

    The site cleaned, the plan walked with you, and care instructions given.

    Hardscaping

    I had a clumsily hardscaped back and side yard and deck built with interlock. The interlocks were old and worn out to direct all stormwater towards the foundation of the house rather than away. I was looking for someone to remove all the stuff and install interlock tiles nicely to direct all water away from the foundation. A few guys visited me for the project but they either did not understand the work properly or were not interested to do my work as it required a lot of patience and detailing (especially while removal). Guys at Behfar Building. Construction took time to understand the requirements and did an excellent job.

    Wood deck, fence and outdoor stairs

    I had my hot tub removed and needed someone to repair my deck and also repair my 25 years old fence, deck and stairs. They did a great job with a reasonable price. They also repaired some of the small damaged spots that I hadn't noticed at all and they did it with no extra cost for me. I recommend their service for all outdoor wood works.
