What do the floors need?

Assessment of the existing floor
We check thickness and past sandings to confirm the floor can take another one.
Repairs before sanding
Loose boards secured, damaged boards replaced and gaps filled.
Dust-controlled sanding
Sanded through the grits with vacuum extraction, so the house is liveable.
Edging and corners
Perimeters and corners worked to match the field rather than left as a visible ring.
Staining
Stain applied evenly to a sample you have approved on your own floor.
Finish coats
Water-based or oil finish, or hardwax oil, applied in the coats the product requires.
Screening between coats
Abraded between coats so the final surface is smooth rather than gritty.
Curing guidance
Clear instructions on when you can walk on it, move furniture back and lay rugs.
