What’s included
This is the work itself, item by item. If your job does not need one of these, it is not on your estimate.
Subfloor assessment
We check flatness, moisture and squeaks, because the subfloor decides how the finished floor performs.
Removal of existing flooring
Old flooring and underlay lifted and taken away.
Subfloor preparation
Levelling, screwing down and patching so the new floor sits flat and quiet.
Moisture barrier and underlay
The barrier and underlay the product and the location require, especially below grade.
Hardwood and engineered installation
Nailed, glued or floated to the manufacturer's instructions, with proper expansion gaps.
Vinyl and laminate
Click and glue-down products installed with the right transitions and edge detail.
Tile flooring
Set over a proper substrate with movement joints where the area needs them.
Trim and transitions
Baseboard, quarter round, thresholds and stair nosings finished to match.
Acclimatization
Wood products left in the house to settle before installation, not unloaded and nailed the same morning.
