What’s included

This is the work itself, item by item. If your job does not need one of these, it is not on your estimate.

  • Radon specialists

Measurement and mitigation are carried out by radon specialists under Behfar Building project management.

  • Long-term measurement

Health Canada recommends a long-term test of at least three months, and that is what we arrange.

  • Diagnostic testing

Sub-slab communication tested to work out where the suction point should go.

  • Sub-slab depressurization

A suction point cut in the slab and connected to a pipe and fan system.

  • Sealing entry routes

Cracks, sumps and service penetrations sealed so the system works efficiently.

  • Fan and exhaust routing

Fan located and exhaust terminated where the standard requires, clear of windows and intakes.

  • Electrical connection

Fan circuit installed by our electrical partner.

  • System monitor

A manometer or alarm fitted so you can see the system is running.

  • Post-mitigation testing

A follow-up test to confirm the level has actually come down.

How it runs

Every job we take on follows the same sequence, from the first call to the walkthrough.

  4. Diagnostics and written estimate

  5. Installation

Suction point cut, piping run, fan installed and entry routes sealed.

  6. Electrical and commissioning

Fan connected by an electrician and the system started and checked.

  7. Post-mitigation test and handover

A follow-up test confirms the result, and the documentation is given to you.
