What’s included

Grade and drainage checked first
We look at how the ground falls and where the water goes; reshaping the whole lot is quoted as excavation and grading instead.
Base and drainage behind the wall
Compacted base, clear stone and a drainage pipe behind the wall, which is what stops it leaning in three winters.
Retaining wall installation
Segmental block, natural stone and armour stone walls, built to the height the site and the by-law allow.
Garden and landscape walls
Low walls that hold a bed, edge a patio or terrace a sloped yard into ground you can use.
Permit check and stamped design
Height is what decides whether a wall needs a permit and a stamped structural design, and we arrange that with an independent qualified professional.
Soil preparation
Old turf and debris stripped out, the surface levelled, and screened topsoil supplied and spread.
Sod installation and lawn replacement
Fresh sod laid tight over a rolled bed and cut in cleanly at beds, walls and walkways.
Landscape finishing around the work
Bed edges cut, mulched and planted so the new wall and the new lawn read as one piece of work.
Clean-up and disposal
Old turf, spoil and offcuts taken off the property rather than left in a pile.

I had a clumsily hardscaped back and side yard and deck built with interlock. The interlocks were old and worn out to direct all stormwater towards the foundation of the house rather than away. I was looking for someone to remove all the stuff and install interlock tiles nicely to direct all water away from the foundation. A few guys visited me for the project but they either did not understand the work properly or were not interested to do my work as it required a lot of patience and detailing (especially while removal).
