Free in-person consultation and estimate

We come to the property in person, look at the work and give you an estimate at no cost and no obligation.

Step 1 of 7 · Question 1 of 1

What are you looking for? (required)

A real person responds within 24 hours.

What’s included

This is the work itself, item by item. If your job does not need one of these, it is not on your estimate.

  • Trade partners

Electrical work by our electrical partner; gas connection by our gas partner.

  • Sizing assessment

We work out what you actually want to run, rather than selling the biggest unit.

  • Siting and clearances

Location chosen for manufacturer clearances, exhaust direction, noise and the bylaw.

  • Pad and mounting

A level concrete or composite pad prepared and the unit anchored.

  • Transfer switch

Automatic or manual transfer switch installed so the generator can never backfeed the grid.

  • Fuel connection

Natural gas or propane supply sized and connected by our gas partner.

  • Electrical connection and ESA

Feeders and the transfer switch wired, notified and inspected by the ESA.

  • Commissioning and load test

The unit started, load tested and the automatic exercise schedule set.

  • Owner demonstration

We show you how it starts, what to check, and what the service intervals are.

How it runs

Every job we take on follows the same sequence, from the first call to the walkthrough.

  1. Tell us what you want backed up

The whole house or specific circuits, and what fuel is available.

  2. We call you back

Within 24 hours, to ask about your service, fuel and siting.

  3. Site visit and written estimate

We assess the panel, the gas supply and the location, and quote in writing.

  4. Permits and notifications

Gas and electrical approvals arranged, and the ESA notified.

  5. Pad, fuel and electrical rough-in

Pad placed, fuel line run and the transfer switch and feeders installed.

  6. Inspection and connection

Gas and ESA inspections completed, then the unit connected.

  7. Commissioning and walkthrough

Load tested, exercise schedule set, and operation demonstrated to you.

That is the whole job. Tell us about yours and we will price it — a real person calls you back within 24 hours.
